Step beyond the familiar stories of historic Downtown Yuma and uncover a past filled with murder, scandal, vice, tragedy, crime, and controversy. On this guided walking tour, Yuma Uncovered takes you to locations connected to some of the darker chapters in Yuma’s history. Along the way, you’ll hear the stories of real people and real events that once made headlines, fueled rumors, and left their mark on the community. From deadly encounters and notorious characters to saloons, scandals, questionable behavior, and stories that rarely make it into the history books, this tour explores a side of Yuma history that is fascinating, complicated—and sometimes disturbing. This is NOT a ghost tour. There are no paranormal investigations or ghost stories. The Dark History Tour focuses on documented events, historical accounts, and the very real people behind Yuma’s darker past. Expect: approximately 1.5 hours of walking through historic Downtown Yuma, multiple historical locations, mature subject matter, and plenty of stories you probably didn’t learn in history class. We offer full refunds for cancellations made at least 24 hours before the tour start time. No refund if cancelled within 24 hours of the event. Rescheduling is sometimes possible but not guaranteed and is subject to availability and cancellation policy. In the rare situation where the seller is forced to cancel the event, ticket-holders will be allowed to reschedule to another time (subject to availability), receive credit, or receive a full refund.
